Latest PHL-ILO collaboration against child labor

The International Labour Organization (ILO) is complementing the efforts of the Philippine Government to protect children from child labor. The latest Philippine-ILO collaboration is the return of the International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC). Child labour (or Child Labor) is any work or economic activity performed by a child and subjects the child to exploitation that causes barriers to health, safety or physical, mental and pyschological development (definition re-written by Lyndon Plantiila of the Philippine Information Agency). This year, the IPEC project will cover selected cities and towns in Quezon, Masbate, Northern Samar and Bukidnon. This is a raw video taken during the ILO press conference held at the Occupational and Health Safety Center last April 5, 2011. On video, ILO's Giovanni Soledad talks about the project in the Philippines. Lyndon recorded parts of the press conference. 13 April 2011
