Latest PHL-ILO collaboration against child labor
The International Labour Organization (ILO) is complementing the efforts of the Philippine Government to protect children from child labor.
The latest Philippine-ILO collaboration is the return of the International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC).
Child labour (or Child Labor) is any work or economic activity performed by a child and subjects the child to exploitation that causes barriers to health, safety or physical, mental and pyschological development (definition re-written by Lyndon Plantiila of the Philippine Information Agency).
This year, the IPEC project will cover selected cities and towns in Quezon, Masbate, Northern Samar and Bukidnon.
This is a raw video taken during the ILO press conference held at the Occupational and Health Safety Center last April 5, 2011.
