The National Child Labor Committee (NCLC), a multi-sectoral body chaired by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), is spearheaded the 2015 celebration of World Day Against Child Labor (WDACL) on 28 August, at the Occupational Safety and Health Center in Agham Road Quezon City, with the theme, “Edukasyon at Pagsasanay Tungo sa Marangal na Buhay.”

Pasay City – Forty-eight parents of child laborers in the city were the recipients of P288,000.00 under the DOLE-NCR Child Labor-Free Barangay program. In a simple awarding ceremony during the City Hall’s flag ceremony on June 29, 2015, Pasay City Mayor Antonino G. Calixto and DOLE-NCR Regional Director Alex V. Avila handed the check to the beneficiaries.
DOLE MIMAROPA celebrates the 2015 World Day against Child Labor in Bulalacao and Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro by giving school supplies to one hundred (100) child laborers and children at risk of becoming child laborer.
Mountain Province- The Department of Labor and Employment provincial office through its Project Angel Tree provided school supplies for 120 child laborers or children at risk of becoming child laborers in four barangays of the province last week.
DOLE Senior Labor Employment Officer Leonardo Doguil said barangays Catengan and Laylaya in Besao ad barangays Mainit and Guinaang in Bontoc benefitted.
The four barangays were identified to have the most number of school children engaging in child labor or at risk of becoming child laborers.

As part of the program on Anti – Child Labor Campaign, a team from DOLE Oriental Mindoro Field Office headed by Engr. Juliana H. Ortega went to Brgy. Papandayan in Pinamalayan. May 12, 2015 was no ordinary day in Barangay Sto. Domingo in Bay, Laguna. At 8:30 am achartered bus and other vehicles parked near the Sto. Domingo Elementary School. The passengers unloaded boxes and equipment.They occupied tables and chairs set up by local officials. A crowd composed of young students and their families has already gathered looking intently at their visitors. Excitement filled the air as each visitor took their assigned seats.
