Education through the airwave: A single step towards eliminating child labor in Olutanga Island

A three-manned team from DOLE Sibugay headed to Olutanga Island last June 04-08, 2012 with the mission to bring DOLE programs and services closer to the people. Approximately 90 kilometers from the provincial capital of Ipil, the island is composed of the three municipalities of Talusan, Mabuhay and Olutanga. Its remote location and bad road conditions make it hardly accessible to the government's services. Getting in and out of the island is mainly through the local motorized vehicle known as "habal-habal".
