Barangay Zillovia, Talacogon, Agusandel Sur is one of the rural Barangays of LGU – Talacogon. Most of the people here are engaged in lumbering, sand and gravel as their main source of income.
As DOLE administered the profiling of vulnerable workers, it was found out that most 12-17 year olds are working as “kargadors”. Parents seem to have encouraged them due to their poor financial state. With this, Barangay Zillovia was enrolled in New Frontier Program of Child Labor Free Program.

Maximo Magallen, DOLE LLCO, presented the Child Labor Laws or Republic Act 9231. He emphasized the age brackets that are to be considered as child laborers and compared it to child workers. He also stressed consequences of parents letting their children work.
