Philippines gets ‘Significant Advancement’ Rating for the 5th Year in a Row from US DOL for its Efforts to Eliminate the Worst Forms of Child Labor

The United States Department of Labor, in its 2016 report on Findings on the Worst Forms of Child Labor published on 21 September 2017, has once again cited the Philippines as having achieved SIGNIFICANT ADVANCEMENT in its efforts to eliminate the worst forms of child labor, the fifth year in a row.

The United States Department of Labor, in its 2016 report on Findings on the Worst Forms of Child Labor published on 21 September 2017, has once again cited the Philippines as having achieved SIGNIFICANT ADVANCEMENT in its efforts to eliminate the worst forms of child labor, the fifth year in a row.

The Philippines is among 135 countries and territories profiled in this report, and one of only two countries in Asia and the Pacific out of 23 countries to receive an assessment of significant advancement, the highest ranking.
