For violation of Republic Act 9231 or the Employment of Minors to engage in lewd and lascivious Act, a permanent closure was effected by the DOLE-NCR at the Muses Bar last January 26, 2012.
Prior to the enforcement of closure, a 10AM briefing was conducted at the DOLE-NCR Conference Room.
Present during the briefing were representatives from the Inter-Agency Committee Against Trafficking (IACAT), the National Bureau of Investigation-Anti Juman Trafficking Division (NBI-AHTRAD) and the International Justice Mission (IJM).
At around 1:00 PM, the joint composite team proceeded to Camp Karingal for coordination and to the Barangay having jurisdiction over said bar.
Sheriff Wilfredo A. Gabito, DOLE-NCR, served the closure order and the Notice of Hearing to the bar's caretaker, a certain Mr. Marlon C. Marino.
Before permanently padlocking the bar's main door, members of the composite team individually inspected its inside premises.
Before leaving the area, a signage was nailed outside the bar's main door stating its permanent closure for violatio of Republic Act 9231.
