Sticker campaign in motels, night clubs, videoke bars and similar establishments in Camarines Norte was initiated to serve as deterrent against commission of child trafficking, child labor and other acts...

A sticker campaign in motels, night clubs, videoke bars and similar establishments in Camarines Norte was initiated by LGU Camarines Norte in partnership with DOLE and other partners under the Camarines Norte Provincial Council for the Protection of Children.  This project dubbed as 'Dikit Paalala" (dikit or post also means 'small" in the local dialect), aims to deter commission of child trafficking, child labor and other acts of abuse and exploitation against children.  This information campaign  was supported by Provincial Ordinance No. 71-2010, entitled, "An Ordinance Revising the Children's Rights and Welfare Code of the Province of Camarines Norte". The said ordinance requires all motels, night clubs and similar establishments to post the Dikit Paalala in a conspicuous area in their establishment.  To ensure compliance to the "Dikit Paalala" sticker posting, the Permit and Licensing Division of all municipalities in the Province of Camarines Norte will require posting of the 'Dikit Paalala" sticker before approval or renewal of business permits  of the mentioned establishments.  Also, all applicants for working permits in the aforesaid establishments will be required to submit birth certificates to ensure that no GRO below eighteen years of age shall be permitted to engage in this kind of work.
