A corporation known for its commitment to excellence, workers welfare, quality products and services and customer satisfaction was recently awarded the TCCLS AWARDS which stands for Tripartite Certificate of Compliance with Labor Standards as well as the CLFE which stands for Child Labor Free Establishment after having fostered a culture of voluntary compliance.

The TCCLS Awards were given by DOLE Laguna Director Milagros R. Mata in behalf of DOLE IV-A Regional Director Ma. Zenaida A. Angara-Campita during Nitto Denko’s 15th Year Anniversary at Sofitel Manila last December 6, 2015.

According to PD Mata , the TCCLS and CLFE awards belong to the first level of awards under the ICP or the Incentivizing Compliance Program. She added that Nitto Denko can obtain the award for second level – the Secretary’s Award which it can obtain after garnering any of the following awards of other government agencies like the Gawad Kaligtasan at Kalusugan from the Occupational Safety and Health Center, Productivity Olympics Awards from the National Wages and Productivity Board and other equivalent Awards. She explained that the highest award at the third level is the Presidential Award which is bestowed to companies that received all the previously mentioned awards.

In her speech during the occasion, PD Mata assured Nitto Denko that DOLE will be with them every step of the way. She likewise reiterated that the program is geared toward voluntary compliance through its two fold-mechanism – that is giving recognition and incentives to compliant establishments and providing technical assistance toward compliance.

For having garnered the TCCLS and CLFE awards, Nitto Denko will be spared from Joint Assessment for a period of three (3) years as it is expected to continuously observe labor laws and will be prioritized under the DOLE continuous technical assistance program through the tool box of Services toward sustaining the culture of voluntary compliance in your establishment.

For CALABARZON Region, there are six companies that have been issued TCCLS awards and all are from the Laguna Province including Nitto Denko Philippines Corporation. Last year’s awardees included fourteen (14) companies from Laguna out of a total of twenty-four (24) in the region.
