The National College for Science and Technology (NCST) signs commitment of support to Cavite’s Project Angel Tree Donate A Used Beverage Can: Help Send Child Laborer to School Project together with DOLE Cavite Provincial Office and San Miguel Yamamura Corporation-Metal Container Plant as program partners.

Through a strong public-private partnerships, the heads, representatives and students of NCST commits to take into account the growing number of working children in the province, recognize child’s rights, being aware that the efforts of public-private partnership prevents children from entering into child labor and sharing the vision of DOLE Cavite with NCST in pursuing mutually enabling partnership under Project Angel Tree towards achieving a child labor-free Cavite.

NCST is the first college in Cavite who supports the program for child laborers. On the speech of Engr. Emerson B. Atanacio, President and Chief Executive Officer of NCST during the project launching, he also commits that he is very much willing to provide scholarships to the education of former child laborers in his school.

DOLE Cavite through the headship of Director Milagros R. Mata, continue to link and partner with the private sector to support the educational needs of children removed from the worst forms of child labor in the province of Cavite.
