Donate a photo. Make a difference.

Child labor is a development problem that must be addressed by the government and by the people. According to the preliminary results of the NSO Survey on Children conducted in 2011, 2.99 million children are engaged in hazardous work. The government, through the Philippine Program Against Child Labor is trying to address this by implementing convergent initiatives through the different agency-partners. Private individuals, on the other hand, also have roles to play: by reporting child labor incidence wherever in the country, by participating as volunteers in the different programs, and by helping raise awareness about this issue.

Photography. Advocacy.

To awaken public awareness about the problem that child labor brings to the children, the families and the society, we need to develop and disseminate more advocacy materials through different mass media and the internet. Both development and dissemination of these materials are most effective when the citizens are given an opportunity to be involved. One of these ways to tap the spirit of volunteerism and giving among individuals is this campaign.

Cameras abound everywhere - SLR, point and shoot, and even mobile phones. That's why photo-editing applications and software are everywhere. It is the nature of many people to capture what interests them. It is innate for people to appreciate beauty, bask in the delight in other persons' expressions, and relive moments from these captured memories. This is a generation of photographers and some aspiring ones.

With photos, this campaign aims to show the world what the faces of children should be: smiling, inspiring, happy, dreaming, loved.

With photos, we want to fight child labor. We want to show the other side. We want to reveal the future we want for the children.
